Goals and Objectives
The members of this research group are: Brian, Kushal, Vinnie, Cristian Teran, Ernesto Ramirez, and our mentor is Gary Correa.
Build a micro Local Area Network made of Raspberrry Pis that operates like a full size LAN would. We will use this LAN for cyber security training. The goal is to practice cyber security attacks and defense mechanisms.
Since we have identified our goal we subdivided it into 4 smaller goals. First, we need to assemble all the parts necessary for the network. Then, we need to build the LAN network between the components. Next, we will install an operating system on each computer to get a fully functional LAN. Last, we will write some security labs to teach cyber security.
We expect to find tangible information we can learn from by trying to attack the LAN with the Kali Linux operating system.
We started by painting the board we will use to hold the LAN components black.
